A call to open hearts to the possibilities of systemic transformation of the wounded world we are part of. Join us on January 31st with the creators of the award-winning Brazilian documentary, Regenerar.
What subjectivities and positionalities guide your action on climate and regenerative futures? Whose voices prescribe the limits of your understanding and possibilities for climate action and regeneration? What are our response-abilities to expand subjectivities in these movements as we come to recognize that global patterns of white supremacy and colonial hegemony are designed and dictated by the same institutions that create the mainstream change narratives?
Regenerar is a three-part documentary that investigates the relationships between colonial modernity and the climate emergency through three lenses: Death, Dream, Life. The film brings awareness to the systemic crises and amplifies Global South voices, largely from Brazil. We’ll be hosting a screening of the documentary followed by a workshop exploring the film’s three themes of Death, Dream, Life.
FORMAT
This is a modular three-hour experience divided into two parts: documentary screening (first 90 min) and workshop exploring the film’s three themes of Death, Dream, Life (90 mins). All registrants will receive a link to view the documentary. You can join us to watch it together, or view on your own time and join only for the workshop in the second half. Registration is free and required to attend. A unique link will be provided to you.
We see this arts-informed space as a continuation and expansion of our New Works series that inquired into climate action and regeneration, otherwise. It’s also a gift to bridge Anna’s projects outside of our team.
