CISCO GRANTEE COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE

Client: Cisco Foundation

Dates: March–July 2024

Departments: Interconnection, resilience

The Invitation

We were invited by the executive team of Cisco Foundation to design and facilitate a community of practice for their grantee organizations. The Cisco Climate Curricular Grantee Partners sessions were an opportunity for grantee organizations to expand their approaches to climate education and support each other’s efforts. The focus for the sessions was on how grantees could enhance their MEL practices to align with their intended organizational impact.

Context

Before working together, the Cisco Foundation had put efforts into building a community of practice for grantees and surveyed them to understand how they could best be supported. They found that grantees were needing co-learning spaces on specific aspects of their work to learn with one another.

SOLUTIONS

The gatherings achieved the desired outcomes of creating a community of depth, providing relevant learning for grantees MEL practices, and sparking collaborations between organizations.
